Portal Account Hierarchy
Access to the Advanced Services Portal is based on the following account hierarchy:
Level 1 – Carrier
Level 2 - Service Provider (SP)
Level 3 – Reseller; SP Customer Level 1– Optional
Level 4 – Sub Reseller; SP Customer Level 2 – Optional
Level 5 - Customer (Number Owner)
A service account is where a number or a group of inbound service numbers reside and users of that account will have access to the account to perform various tasks, depending on their permission levels. Subsequent accounts can be created by the administrative user of Level 2, 3 or 4.
Care must be taken to ensure that the Service Provider (Level 2) or Reseller (Level 3) creates the correct level for a particular requirement.
For example, a Service Provider must create a customer account (Level 5) if the account is for an end customer who will be using the SP’s branded portal.
SP’s MUST not create accounts at Level 3 or 4 if the account holder is not a true Reseller (i.e. an entity with multiple end customers from different companies).
There is no restriction on the number of accounts created at levels 3 to 5.
