Level 2: Service Provider Service Account

This level will be created by the Carrier as part of our provisioning process for the creation of a Channel Partner Reseller. This level is referred to as Service Provider (SP).

The provisioning process for a new SP includes population of data capture information into all of the Carriers BSS and OSS systems.

All agreed numbers will also be populated against the SP account. Only one admin account will be created by Carrier at the SP service account level and offered to the administrator of the service account for this level.

Subsequent creation of users is the responsibility of the individual SP administrator.

The administrator of this account will have access to the following functions:

  • Reseller account creation (optional)

  • Sub-Reseller account creation (optional)

  • Customer account creation

  • Creation of users for their resellers, sub-resellers and customers

  • Number allocation to their resellers, sub-resellers and customers

  • Service Manager and Feature/Functionality allocation to their resellers, sub-resellers and customers

  • Report Allocation for Custom Reports to their resellers, sub-resellers and customers

The reseller and sub-reseller level can be created with a specific branding. The branding can be done at account creation by the SP or it can be done by the administrators of the lower levels.

The Carriers contractual and billing relationship will only be with the Service Provider. The Service Provider will be responsible for their resellers, sub-resellers and customers. The Carrier will not communicate directly with any level below the Service Provider.

All billing information will be delivered to the SP and they are responsible for the onward billing of all levels below them.

The Carrier will not make any reference to the SP’s reseller, sub-reseller or customer within its billing CDR’s. It will be the responsibility of the SP’s billing system to correlate the service numbers to their individual resellers, sub-resellers and customers.
